Hey Monkey boy.

I think that looks very cool. Not too dark - very good contrast I think.

Good mod!

I like that last picture better. The others were too dark. That paint job almost makes it look antique. Good job.....

I really think it makes the black in the detail parts pop (with the shiny finish). by itself, it almost looks like it has a brown tone to it, but when held up to the black fender, it really does look more alloyish. But it blends in very nicely. I'm trying to order up my emblem set today so I can get it to him pronto. I'm trying to decide if I want him to tint all my rear lights too (he can do it while on the car in a similar fashion (spray with tinted clearcoat as dark as I want).

I wouldn't do the tail lights too dark. I hate following someone in traffic with dark tail lights. I think if you just make more like smoke color it would turn out great.

I had put in an aftermarket 3rd brake light, so I have my stock one, which is the one I'd have tinted. I may have him test run that one, reinstall it and see how happy I am with how it looks/performs. If I'm happy, then I'd have him go ahead and do the taillights. I may have him do the bumper lights really dark so they blend in to the paint. To me, they really don't serve much of a purpose.

It'll be on the shelf next to the video taken of you at Shelbyfest soon. We'd post clips of it here, but the forum rules forbid it.

Picked up my car from the body shop today........man did i miss it. They did a great job on the paint IMO. Took out a few phantom scratches on the hood for me too. Also, they filled in the factory "holes" for the front plate (since that is never going to see the front of my car in the traditional manner). Bumper nice and smooth. I'll be picking up my new emblems from the parts store on Monday hopefully and dropping them off with the painter. He has my stock 3rd brake light and will have it smoked out for me to so I can decide if I'll really like the smoked out lights on the car. If so, I'll be leaving my car again with him for the day and getting the emblems and lights painted. I'm still hoping to see if I can pickup a wheel to test out a paint idea I have.

One thing I overlooked when they painted on my stripes was filling those dimples on the front bumper.

Yup. I was fortunate to have been there after they repaired the bumper and before they painted it. I had a handful of rockchips that they repaired as well before painting.

Those are really looking good. I had visions of all-black emblems when I first read this thread, and I don't think that would have looked good. Can't wait to see them on the car.
