Engine Bay Clean up

I am seeing allot of your engine bays etc. here is a question, what is it that everyone uses to keep the hoses in the engine bay looking brand new and not discolored and grayish from the heat>..is it as simple as a tire cleaner..if so which one...any hints or tips...thx

nothing to extravagant...i just wipe with nice slightly soapy rag, followed by a clean wet one. i think some have used their detailer

The Liquid Ice works wonders. Make sure the car is cooled off first.

If I rinse it off at all, I follow by blowing it dry w/ an air hose.

That way no water marks are left.

I don't put anything on the hoses because it ends up attracting dirt and dust.

Sometimes I put a light coat of Ice on stuff like the fuse cover and rad cover.



My other, more daily drivers, I use a tire shine product and spray down the hoses. Leave it for a few minutes, rinse off, then blow dry w/ air.

Once you do that though, it needs to be done every couple months because it attracts dust and dirt.

so you think Ice is a no go in a daily driver.......the RAD cover I could do....never thought of that...

I'm not sure about Ice on the rubber.

Rob would have more experience w/ that.

The tire shine I use, cleans the rubber and leaves a protective coating...but attracts dust over time.
