Who has the shelby performance caps on their GT500? I had them on my Regular GT and I am looking to get these for my Birthday from my wife....Valentines day is Shelby GT500 car mats from the wife and the power plug....I am looking at the caps and the fuse box cover as well as the battery hold down....anyway have them and how do they look. again I liked them on my GT, but I also dont want allot of bling...I know the Lethal caps look great but they are a little pricey for me....anyways..any feedback and or pics is appreciated....

If your birthday is in Nov. or Dec. I'd order them tomorrow so they come in on time.

nah..I would order them from Blue Oval as they have them in stock and get them to me in 2 days...LOL..

heres mine when i first had them...didn't like them...looked cheap. But if properly polished up, should look great.

I dont disagree at all...but for $400 more for the carbon fiber and $300 more for the others...sorry but thats a little steep for engine caps (IMO) for me...I fully agree they are hot as heck...but just cant justify that price...

I do agree they are very pricey.


They are discounted through the store, but still pretty high for a cap set.

The factory peice works well, these look good. So the combination works and looks good.

MGW makes some nice looking polished chrome caps that are reasonably priced and look better than the Shelby caps. Their caps are functional, not just covers.

Caps for the Radiator overflow tank and Intercooler Reservior:

I have a bat strap that is not a big flamboyant part,...aka tacky...Just a simple strap cover ....Maybe I can get Joe to sell em in the store..???

This one is polished I think powder coat "silver vaine" will be the stock look and is the same coating BMR uses on most of there parts....

I have often wished someone would come up with something like this but with a piece of carbon fiber under the strap with cutouts of for the terminals. This would cover the battery without worry about venting and would be as easy to remove as the strap alone. Anyone wishing to undertake this can have the idea royalty free..... as long as I am provided a prototype gratis.
