OK, so I am leaning towards the shelby caps....still undecided...however I was searching and came across this site partscheap.com....now here is where i am confused....I went to their site and found the caps...
one was for a great deal of $260.

however on the same site they had what seemed like the same exact caps for $64 more....am I missing something here..does anyone know or see a difference (besides the price?)

yea, their the same. only scott drake is the distributor for shelby. the CS (higher) ones are from CSI. so partscheap is selling both, but from two different suppliers it seems.

Mustang Engine caps
Wow that is confusing. My first thought was that one set was for a Shelby GT, and the other for a GT500, but they both say they fit the 5.4L engine. The only difference I see is that one is licensed by Scott Drake, although I'm not sure that should make any difference. I suppose you'll have to call them to ask about the difference.

Good luck...and be aware of the loose fit of that dipstick handle.

the pin that holds the flat metal piece onto the handle is not made well (at least on mine), and it "flops around". Think of it this way...if you hold the handle out in the open, with the dipstick blade hanging down...it "swings like a pendulum".

Here's a pic. The blade should stay parallel IMO but you can see how far you can move it.

I did a huge write up on this a year ago or so on another forum...I complained to the company and they had a "it' won't fall off, what's the big deal" attitude.
