Can you do a new member intro on yourself? From the looks of your screen name, it would appear that you are in the St. Louis area.

That's what his location says too.

Did you ever get a set Rob?

I would love a set of 18" Alcoas myself... I don't get why they won't make them... They would prolly sell better than the 20's... Of course that is just me speculating...

No I never did...this is another one of the items SAI is treating like gold....you need a VIN to order them and have to return the replacements...I just didn't want all the weight and handling drawbacks of the 20" Alcoas just for the look...hopefully something turns up eventually...had a line on a set but the guy backed down

The 20" ALCOAS are stock on the SuperSnakes and the wheels are significantly lighter and stronger than the stock 18". No handling issues either, but ride quality does take a dip with the thinner sidewall on the tires.

I'm thinking you may want to look into the 19" from the 2010, I hear the wheel is much lighter than the 07-09 18". May be a nice compromise for you.

Thanks...I was just basing it on feedback from others on the same search I am on...rotational mass on the tires, ride quality, short sidewalls not hooking on the strip or street as well (in a straight line) and what the taller combo does for the rear end ratio etc...

There were a lot of threads here and at the GT500 forums about this back when I was originally looking for these
