Looks great George, I like the subtle touches that you have put on your car to make it yours, the sum of them makes one very sharp ride. I have a soft spot for those rims as like you said they look very similar to the optional upgraded ones on the Ford GT. (sigh...someday)
For anyone who has not seen George's car in person, the painstaking detail is something else and the pictures don't do it justice. There are NO shortcuts taken on anything on that car... |

George,
Not to dig up an old post, but did you by chance weigh the FR500 wheels to see what the weight difference (if any) was between these and the stockers? On another note, I was looking through the 2009 FRPP catalogue I picked up at Mustang Week and on page 50 is the "Orange Peel" which is a Ford Racing Mustang GT convertible development car. I noticed it is sporting the Ford GT BBS wheels, so they can work on the GT500 but I am not sure what modifications would be needed to make them fit properly on our cars.

Call FRPP and ask about the wheels or maybe call BBS.

Will do George. The last time I tried the "hotline" for FRPP tech advice about wheels, they weren't very helpful. Maybe I got a "new guy".

Beautiful car for sure! Especially love the rims! I picked out the side stripes first thing but after three pages of posts someone finally got it!

Late to this party but I really like everything about your car. Those rims are perfect and by far the best looking 18" wheels I've seen on a GT500.
The only thing I'd add to it is tinted windows which would further highlight those amazing wheels (I know that sounds strange but it really will). Again it all works together unbelievably well so congrats for such a well done combo of visual mods.

Tint will also limit what can be seen in the back seat if it's a dark enough tint. This is good if you leave something back there. Of course, I'm probably preaching to the choir. ` |
