Great info, thanks for clarifying. 10" is still not wide enough IMO, but Bill (shelby101) said that they have a rear brake cooling duct on the SS that would hit if you put too wide of a tire on the rear. I think I'd remove the duct and use the bigger tire. Rear brakes only do about 15-20% of the braking work due to weight transfer...the focus needs to be on the front binders.
