Tire Pressure Sensors

If I put the wheels off of my GT500 on my SGT, do I need to do anything with the pressure sensors or is that automatic?

You may need to re-train them. There's a re-training tool out there, but the info is on another computer.

I just found my training tool.

It says on it to see the owners manual how to use.

I think you basically hold it at the tire for a few seconds with the key in a certain position or something.

Go get your owners manual.

Tirerack.com has them. No straps though. Their sensors are part of the valve stem assembly.

?? Ours are on a strap. I haven't heard of anyone using the stem type? Those aren't supposed to be as good.

You basicly have 2 options.

1. If you take the wheels off the GT500 and put them on the SGT you will only have to get the GT500 Sensors calibrated to work with the SGT's Computer. Not sure what the cost is on this but this may be the easiest way to do this. I am also assuming that the SGT's wheels will then go on the GT500. If so you will neeed to do the same for the GT500's Computer.

2. You can have the sensors removed from the wheels of the SGT and rebanded around the GT500 wheels using these.

I used these with no problems when I changed my wheels. You will also have to have the GT500 sensors removed before you can put the SGT sensors on the GT500 wheels. This process may take a bit longer but there is no recalibration needed.
