Tire thoughts

Honestly, this new toyo drag radial would be perfect but I haven't heard much about them yet.

I think they ride fine on the street. I have not noticed any difference in ride comfort. The FRPP springs made the ride a little stiffer, but these tires do not seem to make the ride stiffer. Cornering and drivability also seem fine. I do not do any road racing....so I am not sure how they would perform under spirited cornering. I would suspect that if you do road racing.....these would not be the right choice. If you want a sticky tire for daily driving, spirited street, and the occasional drag racing......I would highly reccomend them. Of course MT makes a very good drag radial also. The Nitto's are a good compromise (not as sticky, but will last longer).

I think for most people the choice usually ends up coming down to the height of the tire that best matches the look you are looking for. Whether you pick MT or M&H, you will love the extra traction!

I think you are probably going to have to remove the boots no matter what tire you put on the 11" rims. My setup barely touched the boots, but I thought it better to just remove them. Personnally I do not think the boots are needed anyway. The boots are open to the enviroment on the bottom anyways. I do try and a make it a habit to wipe down my shocks several times a year also.

yea, that was my thought....they really serve no effective purpose..

Remember that when you install your 11" rims, that they will hit the bumpstop brackets at full extension (at least they did on mine initially, unless you get your axle perfectly centered), and you will definately need an adjustable panhard bar with widened rims. I have mine as perfectly centered as possible.....and I have not had any rubbing issues.....but I also do not drive my car on rough roads. I will eventually modify my bumpstop brackets just to give me a little extra peace of mind.

Don't believe the MT's are meant to be driven daily but are mainly a track tire....not that they couldn't though but don't expect them to handle well because of a weak side wall that is designed to flex for traction on the strip.

I looked at these, the description sounds like they aren't designed for much corning type stuff, do I shyed away.

They are for 10" to 12" wheels.
