Bummer on the rub, but they do look good.

I was thinking of trying the 305's on the stock SS rims and see how that turned out. Not sure if the 10" rim is wide enough though. If it isn't then maybe 295's???

maybe starting a theme here..................powdercoat the coil covers glossy black with them then shaving the raised portions and having a tinted clearcoat similar to my emblems (which I dropped off today) being applied. Here's what I've been thinking about:
- Black with the letters kept silver
- Black with the letters done in red - only problem with this is how to do the red? Can't find anyone who wants or will do the 2 color powdercoating like Snack Attack has. That means I'd have to have the raised letters painted - which would be a PITA I'd guess to make sure that they are the only part that gets the red.

Remove enough for good clearance, but add a plate so as to have a flat spot there like factory.

i have had 2 sets of 305's nitto's on my car and no problem anywhere
1st set 305/35's i put about 300 miles on these and new set 305/45's i have not put 1 mile on these yet, it went straight on the trailer

i read that the MT"S are just a tad wider than the nitto's and there are plenty of cars running both brands on the stockers and nobody has had a problem

Nitto says that theses tires are to be mounted on a 10"-12" wheel. w/ 11" being optimal.

I would think w/ a 9.5 rim and proper air pressure the middle of the tread would wear more and the tire would look bulgy on the rim.

Not sure i would trust that if used on a track.

I seem to remember Dodge trucks putting tires on narrower rims that the tire manufacturer recommended & ended up with several lawsuits on their hands because of it. I think the issue was cornering at freeway speeds would cause the bead to become unseated & the things got bad from there.

The T-Bird and Lightning both have "line-Lock" but I haven't put it on the GT500 .....yet,I may not at all.
