Oct. 13 - Camaro Ordering Day

Stopped in this morning when the doors to my friendly local Chevy dealer opened.

I have an order #.

Here's what I ordered:

2SS

Inferno Orange Metallic

Inferno Orange Leather Interior

Inferno Orange Interior Accent Trim Package

White Stripe Package

Sunroof

RS Exterior Package (20s, HID, etc., certain badging and tailights and other blingy bling)

6 Speed Manual (engine is the LS3 - 6.2L V8)

Boston Acoustic






Now, the wait begins.





Is it too early to call and see if it is here yet?

The Camaro is going to be a sweet fast car, but they just didn't capture the retro look as well as the Challenger and Mustang.

How do you decide which one to drive???

I wanted blue, but as of now, there is no blue on a SS.

kevhead20 wanted me to get yellow, Grabby wanted me to get triple creamsicle. So Kev flipped a coin, Grabby called it, and orange it is.

OK, so you've got to load them into a van and bring them to Colorado. We have better mountain scenery here.

I just had a friend drive 1.5 hours to a dealer for a 9:30 meeting. The dealer was receiving four cars. He ordered the SS/RS. He said he ordered the black strip package, but the dealer gave him 30 days to decide on the final color.

I'll post more as I learn more.

He told me he had to put a deposit down and the price of the car was around $37,500.

Prices sounds in the ballpark. Depends on whether he got the 1SS or 2SS, and what extras.

He said he went with the 2SS, sun roof, stripe package and interior lighting package. He said he passed on the 21" wheel package when the guy told him it would be a $4,800 option. Ouch.

He said he also passed on a $2,400 ground appearance package? Don't know what that is.

I passed on the 21s also. There are some extra blingy things that can be dealer installs, like Hurst shifter and other stuff. I didn't address any of that today...

Congrats!!! You know you need to take a special pic of all the cars together somewhere nice. Just how do you do that? No PhotoShop either.
