I have the same one used by the dealers ,Rotunda .I've had it for years but I haven't up dated it for the new cars yet though (post 2001). (about a $1500 upgrade ) It only does FMCO vehicles. Actually a good "Snap-on" tuner is better because it can do all makes .

Probably WAY out of my price range for something I wouldn't need that often.

I'll have to see if I can make the code come back on by EVO time...saying the weather holds.

Am I to understand this is a "one-time" thing and that you now longer have the light on.

If that is the case, you may not have an issue at all. Occasionally lights will come on when there is nothing really wrong.

I get a cat code once in a great while, but it usually goes out in about 3 cold hot cycles.

I have cleared this code about 4 times now by re booting my JLT/EVO tune.

The first time it happened SPRSNK from the other forum checked it for me and said it was a rich code. I'm assuming the last few times it has been the same code.

The light first came on when I was driving hard at VIR. The other times it came on I was driving hard on backroads.

Okay, Shelby is shiny clean and sparkling for next weekends plans I guess. I think I should back it on out of the garage and take it for a spin up to the local car hangout this evening. Jenro's here I come. Oh, I'll keep an eye on that light for you.

It won't clear itself after several cycles?

I'm wondering if it just running a tad rich at WOT, which not a bad thing.

I'm not sure?

If I notice it I usually at next chance re boot the tune.

I don't drive it much, but I'll have to see if it resets itself if it happens again.

Sometimes after running WOT for a while then quickly closing the throttle as you might in order to brake heavy for a turn ,unburned fuel will build up in the exhaust and cause a temporary rich condition which will then clear as you open the throttle again . If this is done over and over it could cause a rich code to show up. This of course can be read and then cleared with the SCT tuner. We see this sometimes after repeated dyno runs.
