..the engine light on my son's 03 ford sport trac is on and is being diagnosed this morning.....I will be sure to let all of you know what it is.......

That's about the year where they just come on for no reason at a certain milage so you will go in and have it turned off and they can charge you and say you are due for maint.

My Dad put black electric tape over the light so it wouldn't bug him and he took it in when he was ready....That may have bee a bit older car though not much I don't think...so what is it?

..had some work done on it last week, including replacement of the air filter......a small rubber hose from that assembly had worked loose (apparently not pushed on tightly enough) and had finally come off during my son's trip to Columbia, Mo to see the MU football game Saturday. So what was the fault code? My 'Check Engine' light came on yesterday & I'll be finding out tomorrow what the error is. I'm hoping it has something to do with the fact that it sat for a week & can be cleared with no worries.
