I think this fell off my car

[GP500SM]

Do you know what it is? I found it under my car.

It's 3 square pieces of black foam rubber

stuck together and sticky on one end.

About 1 inch long.

That looks like it has the potential to cause some serious mechanical difficulty.



















It probably blew in from outside... maybe it's a hitch hiker.. .

...stick it in a ziplock and throw it in your glove box........if it ever shows up as a needed item, you can pull it out......

I am guessing that it can from something else, and got kicked under the car, but time will tell.......

But I keep my garage so clean that even Grabber is jealous!

It couldn't be from something else. Actually it could have fallen

off the Crown Vic. When that happens I just throw whatever it

is over my shoulder and say oh well. Here's a better pic.

Look at the factory shifter in this photo. It's the one that is farthest away from you. The close one is the KR shifter. Look closely at the stock shifter and you will see a little rubber pad glued onto a plate. That rubber pad helps the automated assembly robot place the shifter into position. That is because the same robot puts the shifter in the 4.6 GT and the shifter is different so the pad is an assembly aid. Note the KR shifter does not have it because I bought it aftermarket.

I found this out from my friend that works at the plant.

It does not matter that it fell off. It has served it's purpose as an erection aid.
