Default Need help!

I'm just finishing up the KB install and ran into a small problem. I need to install a new supercharger belt, however I cant for the life of me figure out how to release the tension on the accessory belt. Ineed to remove this off off the lower pulley, so I could get the old supercharger belt off. Thanks.

Yeah, I see it, but it dosent look like theres anyplace to put a tool to break the tension. The SC side has a 3/8 square hole.

its there..just a tight fit..your breaker bar would be up against the cooling hose. i beleive i put the socket on in it first then the breaker bar...cant remember...its been a while.

theres no hole for that tensioner...just a bolt head..use a socket..you'll pull up on the breaker bar or ratchet (clockwise)..

I figured it out, its the acual bolt thats on the pulley, I used a 15mm closed end wrench, and slipped it right off the balancer.

Nice job with the help - remember having the same issue in finding the front belt tensioner - I am sure there is a great engineering reason, but it seemed to me that they should have used the same type of tensioner and therefore required the same tool to release it on both sides - but what do I know....

If you want to work on a Ford you had better have a full tool box. You'll need it

That's applying logic to car design. The 2 are mutually exclusive.

Thought this might be a good place to post these in case somebody hasn't seen or saved them yet. Good belt routing and tensioner pics.
