Don't need the fuel rails and injectors if you get the TVS.

Fuel rails: Just because the stock ones are ugly as all get-out.

Injectors: A TVS with a 2.6" pulley and the IW +10% balancer will need the injectors as well as other fuel system upgrades.

Nice job on the car Rick looks awsome . When you make the decision on the SC be sure to think about not loosing the strut tower brace as it is an important component in unibody rigidity and will affect body flex in hard cornering.

Not only is stability a part of that strut brace, but I paid a lot of money to have the stripes painted on it.

No lowering the motor, I would assume if it fits under the strut bar then no cutting of the insulation and hood. Whipple(3.4) runs a bigger pulley for the same boost as KB and you have to cut the hood in this area for the KB. I'm hoping the drive and pulley is different on the 2.9 to clear the hood with no mods.

Yeah, I know...just thought you might have talked to Jared recently.

I did see on TS that Whipple is expecting to release the 2.9L in February. We'll see if that actually happens.

I just hope we can get some good side-by-side comparisons of the 2.9L Whipple vs. the 2.3L TVS.

I talked to him yesterday said they are still waiting on the inlet and he's going out to CA in the next couple of days.

They didn't say which year did they?

If it is anything like the KB there should be no comparison for making big power.

I wanted it last year!

Latest news on the 2.9L Whipple:

1. It will fit under the stock strut tower brace without K-member spacers or modification to the hood.

2. The 160mm mono-blade TB will be a direct fit on the 2.9L inlet.

3. The JLT intake will fit.

4. You can use the IW +10% lower balancer without any issues as long as you're tuned for the extra boost.

5. The Fore fuel rails will fit.

6. Pricing: Not yet
