I voiced my views on the Union bashing thread because I am union and the thread struck a nerve with me...just like it did with Bone. Is that what we are really talking about here?

Only Max can answer, but I didn't read his post that way at all...I think he meant you're giving this site a 'test run'...that's what he means by a "shot".

Rob, I've posted my views on unions on other threads recently. I have been on both sides, union and management. I certainly don't have the view that all union people are 'bad' or 'lazy' or 'overpaid'....and several others have said the same thing here. Several people obviously agree with you.

I'm glad you voiced your views...I had said in another post elsewhere (I think to Art) that I'm glad he posted his views...as we need to see/hear all sides. I think we've seen both union bashing and management bashing on this thread...it's not been one-sided.

Stick around, I don't think the comments were aimed at you. Max will correct me if I'm wrong, but I've certainly not read it that way.

Respectful disagreement has always been ok on this site......and controversy, well I think that is a kind of subjective judgement.....

From where I stand, let's just focus on the respect issue, and the rest just falls into place; that means even in areas of disagreement, where parties have strong beliefs, maybe just say it once, without saying it multiple times.....

we are not trying to win arguments, just exchange thoughts and information.

And I am not directing this at anyone, I am still lacking an understanding of how this issue came about, but hopefully we are all still family.,...
