I don't think that exists, most hi-flo cat designs are based on X pipe designs, which are more performance oriented. You would probably have to get a Hi-Flo cat system and then splice the H-Pipe in, which as we've seen in Chef's and Grabby's threads, is not that difficult.

Hi,

I see you installed the power house H pipe. I too have the FRPP 5GT mufflers on my GT500. I have to say, I really didn't notice a difference on your sound/video clip. That could just be my speakers Is this worth getting. Can you really tell a difference on the overall tone? I want to make mine sound more meaner, if you will. Just not all raspy sounding like some others.

Only mods so far is the Steeda pulley/CAI/Tune and 5GT's.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Absolutely it made a huge difference. ..I would highly reccommend this mod..it is well worth it in my opinion especially if you like the deep rumble...overall I had slight vehicle drone with the stock x-pipe and my 5gt mufflers....this has taken that away and given me a nice deep rumble...I often have people stop me in person and just say wow...including my dealer....BY THE WAY WELCOME to the MAFIA....this is by far one of my favortite mods..no BS....it sounds great with the 5GT's and you will not be disappointed....

PS: Dont let the video be your judge..its always hard to tell from that...and when I say this is a worthwhile mod I can only speak for THE PHRP H-Pipe.not anyone elses H-pipe...FYI it was designed by a former SVT person who I met and knows his stuff as well...

GOOD LUCK ...HOPE THIS HELPS

Everyone who has done this has raved about the sound difference.

Simple install, and a nice improvement in the sound.

shooting for 580's...?? what mods do you already have?

a pulley and cold air intake with tune could get you 525-575rwhp and torque in the same ballpark....
be advised that the h-pipe will not increase your RWHP....
good luck with it..

mods= UCA/LCA, Steeda CAI/Tune, 5GT's. Installing, Shelby shifter, 3:73's/pulley/C-L intake, new street tune and race tune, 3 pod SOS with oil/boost/wideband a-f (innovate) and now H pipe. My T/F wheels will be in next week 20 x 11's w 305's.hopefully that helps with traction issues

I'm at 531/509 now with just a CAI & Tune. I have a great tuner, after the additional 4psi/pulley and new C/L CAI, will see.

Does the H-Pipe make a huge difference? Or is this a matter of opinion. From what I've "heard" here, the vehicle do sound louder.

The reason for my question is, I have a friend that wants his GT500 louder. Currently it is 100 % stock. Would just the H-Pipe make a difference? Or would ya'll suggest changing Mufflers, and to what.

Thanks
H

I put some 4" tips on my wifes GT and it sounds good. She still has the stock mufflers but it is louder and deeper than stock. It is not overly loud but still sounds good. The H pipe will give the car a deeper sound and the stock mufflers will sound a bit deeper. The bad thing about the stock exhaust is that it is a quiet exhaust. Maybe adding the 4" tips would liven it up a bit like on my wifes GT if he doesn't like a real loud exhaust. The optimum setup would be the H with the KR muffers. All these setups does not have any drone. With the KR muffers, there is no drone, quiet when cruising but nice and throaty with the right foot hits the floor.

Thanks VD, I'll pass the info along. I originally suggested the KR mufflers, but he wasn't sure.
