not bad..do you have JBA headers..

i read the article today in 5.0 on testing all three sizes of AR headers...interesting data. 1-3/4 was preferred size for street. 1-7/8 actually was lower in hp compared to its junior until 5000 was reached....

At what HP level and what mods were done to that particular car?

With a Blower car it won't hurt to have a bigger exhaust but it could if it's too small.( not saying 1-3/4" is too small depends on HP level )

stock engine 5.4 on a eng tester, not in a car. they dyno'd stock first and got 430, then pulley'd (i think 2.6) and got 518 i think it was, then tested all three sets. exh pipes were 3". true about to small, which they mentioned restricts exh causing the high backpressure. it was a good article.

I agree on a stock engine the 1-3/4" primary's would be the best size. Anything aproaching 700rwhp or more and the larger 1-7/8 would be the way to go.IMO

Chime in...
I have the Bassani off road x-pipe...if I was doing my exhaust again I would probably skip the hesders but go with the rest including the x-pipe and race cats...mean rumble and not too loud until you step on it...then it is insane loud but the tone is still amazing...not tinny like some of the others I have heard....so much is personal choice; if at all possible try and hear the set up in person first as I found the you tube comparisons very deceiving after hearing some setups in person

Saw your other post in the e-test is S Ont....here's a hint, go to the Canadian Tire on King Street in Hamilton (the one just east of downtown)....they can be convinced to run some tests in a very favorable manner

Kooks is in the middle of moving from NY to NC, they just took too damn long.
Order cancelled.

I think you'll like them. Definitely a nicer growl at idle (not loud, but enough to know this isn't a tame beast) and when you get on it, the roar with a nice crackle at higher rpms (that may be the SGT's more so than the hi flows). It's been Mrs. BM Approved too.

They should be loud BM..I've got FRPP headers on my car.

Obligatory vid will follow install.
