KR Mufflers installed!

Install went easy, mufflers were in great shape (thanks KC!).
I installed the driver's side and stepped back to have a look and had a moment of buyers remorse. I have to admit that the 5GT tips are better looking than these. It didn't help that my daughter walked into the garage at that moment and said "The old ones look cooler."
Finished the install and fired her up. OMG! My daughter ran out of the house and proclaimed "That sounds awesome!" I have to whole heartedly agree. Even my wife who usually responds to my showing off new mods with an eye roll and a "whatever" said that she liked the sound much better. They are slightly quieter but more agressive sounding (does that make sense?) than the 5GT's. Very happy!

Sorry I thought the install had been pretty well covered so I didn't take pics. I'll get some of the finished product tomorrow if y'all are interested. Right now I have to go take a quick spin!

Yes I did. I just hope there here in time for Grabber's bash! How long did it take you to put them on?

Took about an hour taking my time. Of course I had done it before and taking off the 5GT's was MUCH easier than the stockers. If you don't have a 13mm ratcheting box end wrench do yourself a big favor and pick one up.

Glad you got a deal on a set, you won't regret it!

Thanks Dad's! I just checked the tracking on mine and it says it's going to be here on Thursday. So if they are here that night they are going on that night!

Seems like they take their sweet time from Texas.

Glad they arrived in good shape. I also did not care much for the look compared to the Bassanis I had, but once I fired the car up it didn't matter any more. The sound more than makes up for the rolled tip that I'd rather have. More agressive makes sence to me because they are very tame until you put your foot to the floor then all hell breaks loose.

We TOLD YOU, we TOLD YOU! Glad you like the sound. I agree, install is about an hour or so, less if you are replacing none OEM set. The OEM set is a pain to get off, but well worth it.

If I remember right, the guy painted them black and put on different tips. I am betting it changed the exhaust note a bit. Let us know how they sound once you get them on. It was a good price for those mufflers. We all kept on telling you guys that these are awesome mufflers. Wait until you get the car on a dyno and let the dyno guy run the car and you stand back and listen. They just scream on the dyno.

He did paint the mufflers black but the tips are stock. He changed his personal set's tips. He had me confused too. I saw the pictures with the muffler painted black and I thought the looked good. It blends into the back of the car.
