Cabin Filter

I've heard we had this on our cars, but have never checked it.

Has anyone checked theirs before?

Being 2 years old in a week and at 18,000 miles I would think it may need replacement for me.

I hadn't heard about this filter, but it doesn't surprise me that there is one on our cars. The Service Manual says to replace the cabin filter at 72,000 miles.

For Black Vert SS that would be about 205 years.

Filters are one of the items that are mileage dependent more than time dependent like hoses & belts.

And yes, BVSS's great great great grandkids will have to replace it for the first time. I hope they can find one then. Maybe he should buy one & leave it for them.

My Mini Cooper has one. OEM is outrageously price, but there are two well know after market ones that are suppose to be excellent quality for about 75% less than the OEM. No, it doesn't carry the Shelby name, but I bet I get it faster and it's won't be damaged. (inside joke among a few of us, so you who don't understand - - - back off!!! )

I'll check to see if they offer one for your car.

I replaced the cabin filter on my wife's 2004 Honda Odyssey last week after almost 90,000 miles. It was pretty gross - black on both sides ... go figure that one out.

New cabin air filter for a 2007 FORD MUSTANG cheap, only 5.01

Here's the link to the company that many of the Mini Cooper folks have replaced their cabin filter though. They say that it's as close to the OEM as they can find. In fact exactly, just no Mini Cooper on the side.

No listing for a GT500 of course, but I looked up through the 2007 Mustang.
