Default Jacking Rails

I want to simplify wheel changes & service on my '09 GT500 and have found a couple of different style of products;

> UPR Pt.2008 Jacking Plate, single lift point fabricated to slip over the pinch weld at factory jack point, some modifictaion required?

> Kenny Brown, Jacking Rails, appear to along length of pinch weld so that you can lift anywhere - looks like a piece of square-tube that is welded to rocker panel?

Has anyone else installed either of these products or have other recommendations?

Thanks, Dave M.

Is the pinchweld strong enough to use as a jacking point?

Here's a picture of what an adapter looks like. It replaces the jack pad on jacks that have removable pads.

Jon,

Agree that jack adaptor might be a better way than modding car, can you send details on source?

This is the type of jacking plate I was considering, it attaches over pinchweld and is supported on rocker panel;

Thanks, Dave M.

That adapter was from Grip Pinchweld Jack Adapter

I've seen them other places as well.

Yes, according to the Ford engineers the pich point is the recommended
jacking location. Doesn't look rigid and stable enough to jack here, but it
is.

Since my jack doesn't have a removable pad, I can't use the one shown above. But I did some surfing tonight and found this. Here's the link: New Page 1
